When you need a break from clean eating and you’ve earned a cheat meal, here’s how to make sure it’s still packed with muscle- building protein with this M&M Cake Jars Recipe.

You’ll Need (serves two)
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg white
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1â„2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, or other milk substitute
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 tbsp coconut flour
- 1/8 cup almond flour
- 1â„2 banana or 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1â„2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp mini baking M&M’s
Method
Step 1: Mix all the ingredients into a bowl, then add your M&M’s last and mix in by hand.
Step 2: Take out two half-pint size mason jars, coat them with nonstick cooking spray and evenly distribute your mix into them. Don’t fill to the top as the cake will rise.
Step 3: Top with a few more M&M’s and place in an oven on 180°C for 25-30 minutes. Cool off, pop a lid on it and you have the perfect travel-ready protein-rich treat.
