How Do Brits Like Their Steaks?

Nearly everyone loves a steak but research shows that very few people actually know which cut of meat to buy or why it’s better.

In the UK it’s the Aberdeen Angus that’s the most popular choice, according to a survey by Aldi Supermarket. It’s firm yet tender, juicy and lean and finely marbled with fat, naturally basting the meat during cooking which produces an irresistible combination of texture and flavour.

So what else do Brits like and how much do they really know about steaks? MACROS have created a handy infographic using the stats from a survey by Aldi which polled 1000 UK adults. It turns out that just 22% like their steak rare, 87% don’t understand the difference between rump and ribeye and 30% eat steak fortnightly.
